Our Peppered Mackerel is gently hot smoked here in Aldeburgh, then finished with a generous coating of cracked black pepper for a bold, savoury flavour. Rich, oily, and full of character, mackerel is one of the finest fish for smoking and takes on the flavour of the smoke beautifully.
Perfect for salads, sandwiches, pâté, fish platters, or served simply with new potatoes and a squeeze of lemon. The peppered finish gives each fillet a little warmth without overpowering the natural flavour of the fish.
All mackerel is smoked in small batches in our Aldeburgh smokehouse, cooled and packed fresh. A proper smokehouse favourite — simple, full-flavoured, and ready to enjoy.
